SUNY at Buffalo (founded as the University of Buffalo in 1846) is one of the principal sources of M.S. and Ph.D. Industrial Engineering graduates in New York State. The department is located on a 1200-acre campus in the suburbs of Buffalo. Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs are available in Ergonomics/Human Factors Engineering - including cognitive sciences, human-computer systems, work physiology, occupational health and safety, design for special populations, artificial intelligence, and mathematical modeling of human performance Operations Research - including decision science, mathematical programming, stochastic processes, and applied operations research Production Systems Engineering - including manufacturing processes, production systems, facilities design, CAD/CAM and robotics.The Department also offers a program leading to the degree of Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) with an Engineering Management concentration in Production Management.
