The Department of Microbiology offers a wide spectrum of research opportunities, including microbial physiology and genetics, cell biology, microbial pathogenesis, ecology, evolution, population biology, protein biochemistry, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. A significant feature of our graduate program is the diversity of microorganisms that are studied.
