Basic and applied approaches to health psychology and behavioral medicine are emphasized. The programs are designed to train psychologists to become scientists, university professors, health policy-makers, and scientific administrators who focus on the study of behavior and mind as they relate to physical and mental health. These training programs include graduate and medical school courses and teaching experience, but focus on research activities.
