M.S. - Vocational Rehabilitation

This program prepares rehabilitation professionals to help individuals deal with the personal and social effects of disabilities and to function independently. The vocational implications of disability are a significant focus of the program. Through applied problem-solving techniques, rehabilitation professionals facilitate positive adjustment to disability and reduce barriers to employment as a strategy to empower individuals with disabilities. Diverse educational backgrounds are welcome. A desire to work with people in a helping capacity and volunteer or work experience with persons with disabilities are considered assets. A Rehabilitation Counseling concentration for working professionals with two or more years experience in rehabilitation services or a related field is available online.
   
Accreditation Information: The Graduate School at UW-Stout is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (NCA) to offer programs at the master's and education specialist levels. CORE.
