Self-motivated students with a passion for the environment thrive at Lesley's Audubon Expedition Institute (AEI). Students travel throughout the U.S. and various bioregions of the world with a close-knit group of faculty and peers that form an independent learning community. They experience the natural environment as their classroom and directly engage with local ecologies, cultures, and economies. Students explore fjords, coral reefs, ancient forests, barrier islands, desert canyons, Pacific Rim volcanoes, and alpine valleys. Additionally, Lesley's Ecological Teaching and Learning program combines online learning with two summer field experiences. Designed specifically for educators at settings such as schools, museums, and nature centers, the program helps educators to integrate ecological concepts into their curriculum.
