The industrial-organizational (I/O) psychology program at Purdue University, in existence for over 50 years, has enjoyed an excellent reputation through the years. More I/O psychologists have been trained here than at any other university in the world. When I/O psychologists have been surveyed about the quality of graduate programs, Purdue has always ranked among the top programs. In a recent Gourman report rating graduate schools in I/O Psychology, Purdue was ranked number five in the nation.

The graduate program in industrial-organizational psychology is primarily a Ph.D. program. Training in this program is research-oriented.
