E. in Biomedical Engineering;M. S. in Biomedical Engineering Doctoral Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering On Campus   Biomedical engineering deals with the interface between technology, biology, and medicine, utilizing engineering to solve problems in the life sciences and medicine. Students from a variety of undergraduate fields enter this program. Master of Engineering degree students develop competence in a field of direct application of engineering to the health-care industry. Instrumentation, computer applications, and image processing are the chief areas of such specialization. Students planning careers in research, advanced development and design, or teaching usually pursue Ph.D. or M.S. degrees that require a thesis based on an independent research project.
