Morgans Graduate Program in English is noted for its established curriculum and its comprehensive coverage of the major areas in British, American, and African American literature. The curriculum covers vast variety of literature from Shakespeare to Morrison. In addition to the schools well rounded curriculum, Morgan is the only state school that offers concentrations in Scriptwriting and Creative Writing in the State of Maryland. Furthermore, the Graduate Program is designed for students who are pursuing graduate work beyond the bachelors degree, for those who are preparing for a career in secondary school teaching or in creative and scriptwriting.
