This is designed as a two year program, in which each student completes a minimum of 30 credit hours, including core courses in the subfields of anthropology and a Research Methods course. Comprehensive examinations are written after completion of the first year in residence. Thesis and non-thesis options are available. The program emphasizes small lecture courses and specialized training through the tutorial format of seminars and individually directed research projects.
