Master's
M.Acc. - Accountancy
On Campus

Rider University offers a program designed to meet the needs of a changing professional environment. The Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) Program requires 30 graduate credit hours (ten courses) for students possessing an undergraduate accounting degree. A fast track of prerequisite course work is available for students who were not undergraduate accounting majors. Of the ten required M.Acc. courses, five (15 credit hours) are in accounting. These include Analysis of Accounting Data, International Dimensions of Accounting, Issues in Financial Reporting, Seminar in Taxation, and one accounting elective. The remaining 15 credit hours are of an elective nature, permitting specialty study in such areas as global business, financial markets, information systems, and health care. The program is designed to expand technical accounting competencies, to integrate topical coverage both within accounting course work and other areas of decision interest, and to extend and link the use of accounting data to a variety of business functions. Flexibility of options enables students to pursue specialty concentrations linked to the accountant's role as adviser and/or to design a program leading to meeting the CPA exam requirements. Seminars are offered in the afternoon and evening, permitting both full- and part-time study.
