Founded in 1978, the School's mission is to prepare highly dedicated students to become effective, successful physicians in the United States. Since its inception, Ross University has graduated over 4,000 students.The first four semesters of Basic Science courses for the School of Medicine are taught on the island of Dominica in the Caribbean in a 16-month trimester schedule, and the 5th semester class is taught in Miami, Florida at the Greater Miami Health Education Training Center.
