Fellows receive a generous 1,800 euro monthly stipend and health, accident and liability insurance coverage. All program-related travel costs are covered and additional funding is available for families. Intensive German language training is provided as needed in the U.S. and Germany for up to seven months prior to program start. No German language skills are required at the time of application.
Candidates should be US citizens between the ages of 23 and 34 with 2+ years relevant work experience in their proposed field of work in Germany. Candidates should have Graduate degree completed or in progress in the following fields: business administration, economics, journalism, mass communications, law, political science, public affairs/public policy. Applicants without Master degrees are encouraged to apply provided they have at least 2+ years of work experience in the respective field.
Applications must be received no later than October 16, 2006 for the program beginning in September 2007.
