The program emphasizes quality healthcare data as the foundation for organizational information and knowledge management systems. This advanced education prepares HIIM professionals for responsibilities in areas such as healthcare data resources administration, healthcare data security oversight, strategic and operational information resource planning, clinical data analysis, information systems development, and implementation. Graduates of the Master of Arts in HIIM, who are not already credentialed, are eligible to sit for the RHIA national exam. St. Scholastica Master’s graduates have a pass rate of 100% on the exam. Successful completion of the Master of Arts in Healthcare Informatics and Information Management requires 39 credits to complete and is offered online with two on-campus seminars.
