Federal, state and local health and security agencies are increasingly in need of professionals with information technology and informatics skills to assist in public health preparedness and health communications. Public Health Informatics specialists work in a rapidly expanding scientific field which deals with the storage, retrieval, and optimal use of biomedical information, data and knowledge for problem solving and decision making. The 12-credit, online certificate program is designed to improve the systematic application of information technologies and systems to public health practice, research, and learning. Students must submit a set of original transcripts.  Pre-Requisite Courses International Student Requirements International students and applicants with foreign credentials must submit academic records in the original language with literal English translations. Allow at least three months for evaluation.
