The Academic Advising graduate certificate is designed for practicing advisors and administrators desiring more formal education relating to academic advising, for faculty seeking advising knowledge beyond their discipline, and for graduate students anticipating academic advising roles. This certificate program, in partnership with the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), prepares students for positions as academic advisors in college and university settings. It also provides an opportunity to gain an understanding of myriad issues and skills needed to deliver effective academic advising. To complete the program, students must complete 15 credit hours of coursework. All courses are offered online.
