Our graduate program in Educational Technology prepares teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals for the thoughtful use of technologies to support teaching and learning in a range of educational environments. The program draws on current theories of learning and development to understand the role of technology in learning and instruction. The Educational Technology programs are intended primarily for teachers interested in the use of technology to deepen student understanding of subject matter and enhance student problem-solving ability. There are three graduate level programs in the area of Educational Technology. The Certificate program is a 3 course, 9 graduate credit option that gets you started with integrating technology into your curriculum. This is perfect for teachers interested in learning more about technology. There is no need to apply to a master's program in order to take these courses. The second level is for Michigan teachers interested in adding the Educational Technology endorsement to their current teaching license. This is a 7 course, 21 graduate credit program. The Certificate courses are the first 3 courses within this program. The third level is for teachers interested in earning a Master's in Educational Technology. This is a 10 course, 30 graduate credit program. Once you have completed the 7 courses of the endorsement you only need 3 additional classes to earn a Master's degree.
