The doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in technology management prepares specialists who have knowledge of scientific and engineering developments; knowledge of economic and political organizations of the global community; and sensitivity to the ethical and moral issues surrounding technology. A minimum of 90 hours of approved graduate credit is required. Successful completion of preliminary examinations, residency, dissertation, and defense of the dissertation are also required to earn the doctorate degree. The program planning committee recommends each student's program of studies and the use of previously earned credit acceptable to the program. The program is offered through Indiana State University's College of Technology in cooperation with a consortium of four other universities. It is a virtual organizational concept recognizing the role of each member university.
