The Individualized Master of Arts (IMA) program offers qualified students the opportunity to self-design their graduate education to pursue existing or emerging subject areas.  Our program combines short-term residencies in Ohio, on-line study, and allows students to integrate a host of external educational providers into their personalized curriculum. Students may do independent study with approved instructors, take advantage of local university resources or integrate unique professional or experiential learning (e.g. internships, past experience) into their approved curriculum. Antioch is able to support degrees in the following broad subject areas:   Business Administration*  Community Development  Conflict Analysis and Engagement*  Creative Writing  Health and Wellness  Human Development  Humanities / Liberal Studies  Organization and Leadership  International and Global Studies Visual  Performing Art (Acting/Performance, Visual Arts, Mult-Media)  Interdisciplinary *Students may utilize the course work or short-terms certificates from our other graduate programs in these areas to customize a degree. For instance, Health Care Management. Within each of the above area students design a concentration, which may closely mirror an existing discipline, such as History, Sociology, or Acting. They may also pursue emerging disciplines such as Yoga Studies, Holistic Health or Media Studies.
We cannot support students interested in the hard sciences, mathematics, or music.
