Q: What is the U.S. Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy?A: This 27-month accredited program focuses on three distinct arenas: academic, professional and military. The curriculum provides a sound academic base for professional development.Q: What are the eligibility requirements?A: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or be in their final semester and have completed prerequisite courses in Biological Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Social Sciences, or Statistics. The minimum overall GPA requirement is 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. Candidates must earn a minimum GRE cumulative score of 1000 and have a minimum 450 verbal score. Applicants must be U.S. citizens age 21 and older (waivers required if over age 40).Q: What are the academic standards?A: Students are required to earn a passing grade in every course and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.Q: What are the benefits of this program?A: All Officers receive pay and allowances according to rank, no-cost or low-cost medical and dental care, 30 days paid vacation, and housing allowances. Baylor PT students receive thorough training to deliver quality patient care.Q: What is a participant's active duty service obligation?A: Your active duty service consists of 27 months in the program, with 54 months working and training in U.S. Army facilities. The remaining time (15 months) may be served in the Inactive Reserve.
