The goal of the Master of Science Program in Applied Biomedical Engineering is to educate and train practicing scientists and engineers to be able to carry out engineering-oriented research and development in the biomedical sciences. The applicant’s preparation must have included: (1) mathematics, through ordinary differential equations; (2) calculus-based physics, including mechanics, heat and energy, electricity and magnetism, and elementary quantum concepts; and (3) chemistry, inorganic and organic.
