Graduate Certificate in Corrections Leadership
On Campus

Corrections Leadership is a rapidly growing area of criminal justice. Private, state, and federal agencies alike are seeking qualified managers and leaders to meet the changing needs of the twenty-first century. Leaders of correctional facilities and programs should be prepared to meet the challenges of changing policies and effectively deal with the management of budgets, grants, cooperative agreements, and other inter-governmental projects. The certificate program in Corrections Leadership is designed to provide a theoretical and practical knowledge base for correctional practitioners in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and Social Work. The Corrections Leadership certificate program consists of two required courses and two elective courses for a total of 12 credit hours.
