The Indigenous Peoples Law & Policy Program offers a rich variety of specialized academic courses and clinical learning experiences that focus on the protection of indigenous peoples rights, the challenges of native nation building, and the creation of effective institutions of indigenous self-governance. Our students are taught by an internationally-recognized faculty and a distinguished group of visiting scholars, experts, and advocates. Through a multi-disciplinary approach that engages domestic, international, comparative, critical race and tribal perspectives on indigenous rights, the Program seeks to provide its students with a unique set of classroom and practice-oriented learning experiences that speak directly to the challenges of protecting the human rights of indigenous peoples throughout the world today.
