Ecology and evolutionary biology provides integrative training and research opportunities in all aspects of comparative biology. including molecular evolution, phylogenetics, theoretical biology, conservation and population ecology. Faculty research interests span multiple levels of biological organization, ranging from the origins of novel molecular function to the study of global interaction between climatic and biotic change. Graduate training emphasizes the interplay of empirical laboratory and field studies with theoretical and computational explorations necessary to address fundamental issues in ecology, evolution, genomics and development.
