The purpose of the MST in Art Education program is to offer a unique graduate experience that prepares teachers to meet the national, state and regional need for excellent teachers of the visual arts.

The MST art education concentration leads toward a permanent art K-12 certification to teach in the public schools of New York State and features pedagogical studies and student teaching. Master of science for teachers in art education is for those holding the BFA or BA (art major) degree. Classes begin in September and end in May.
