The Master's program in Counseling and Human Development (CHD) is committed to developing conscientious, professionally skilled counselors who are responsive to the needs and individual differences of all people. Our students are led by seasoned educators and active practitioners, offering students focused clinical education and experiential training with a case-oriented learning approach. Master's degrees are available in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. In addition, our core curriculum is designed such that students have the ability to complete degree requirements for both tracks with relative ease. The Walsh CHD program is accelerated, offering many courses in eight-week format, which allow students to go at their own pace. In addition, our rolling admissions policy allows students to start when it's most convenient for them. Small classes provide an environment for individualized attention and active participation and interaction between students and faculty. We believe this individualized attention and hands-on learning approach is the main reason Walsh CHD graduates enjoy high pass rates on state licensure exams.
