The Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations degree is a 45 credit program including a professional internship. The school has a Director of Internships and Career Development dedicated to assisting students in competitive internship, fellowship and placement opportunities.Students have the option of choosing two specializations to develop a functional and a regional expertise. The John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations educates students from around the world to bring diplomatic skills and a solid understanding of international affairs to careers in public service, business, law, and the nonprofit sector. Rigorous graduate degree programs, taught by distinguished faculty of scholars, experienced diplomats, and professionals, prepare students to be effective and ethical leaders in their professional careers. The Whitehead School shares a unique relationship with the community through its alliance with the United Nations Association of the United States (UNA-USA). The School’s learning environment creates opportunities for students to participate in research, policy analysis, professional internships, and unique study tours. The School’s close proximity to New York City offers students access to exciting personal, professional, and academic experiences.
