Ph.D. students spend their first year taking courses in the interdisciplinary program, undergoing laboratory rotations, and identifying their adviser and area of research. Students then move into the degree path for one of the following programs: Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, Cell Biology and Molecular Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Pathology, Immunology, Molecular Toxicology, Molecular Virology and Microbiology, Neurobiology, or Molecular Pharmacology.
