SI takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Information and provides an integrated understanding of human needs and their relationships to information systems and social structures. Our students and faculty create an academically diverse community with a broad range of perspectives and interests in theory, principles, and practices from the best of past and present scholarship in library and information science, computer sciences and engineering, the humanities, and the social sciences. The Master of Science in Information program at the School of Information is accredited by the American Library Association.
