For example, an undergraduate grade point average of3.00, a combined score of 850 on the verbal and quantitative portions, as well as a 3.00 on the writing section of the GRE are sufficient for admission to the graduate program. Non-Thesis Option—Students must successfully pass a comprehensive examination. The examinations will consist of written essays graded by the graduate faculty of the department. Students who have completed 27credit-hours and ALL core courses within the program of study are eligible to take the comprehensive examination. Students failing any part of the comprehensive examination will be permitted to reschedule the examination no sooner than one (1) semester later.
