Graduate Certificate in Geographical Informational System is directed to managers and administrators in the public and private sectors, technical professionals, decision-makers and other involved in the planning, implementation and use of Geographical Informational Systems. Individuals who recently completed a post-secondary education in GIS-Related disciplines, as well as, those individuals who have substantial relevant work experience and who wish to upgrade their skills will benefit from this certificate program. The emphasis in the program is on the advance applications of GIS and Statistical methods to spatial problem solving.

Requirement for the GIS certificate: Bachelor Degree and completion of 2 undergraduate courses in computer cartography/GIS or completion of GEO 5157 or at least of substantial practice with GIS technology, 12 semester hours.
