The Master of Science in biology program provides advanced training to students seeking employment in biological disciplines and prepares students for entrance into PhD programs. The Master of Science program consists of two tracks: • The cellular/molecular biology track is appropriate if you are interested in organ systems or lower levels of biological organization • The ecology, evolution and behavior track is suitable if you are interested in whole organisms or higher levels of biological organization. OU’s program gives students the unique opportunity to interact closely with biology faculty while studying and conducting research at the master’s level. If you are interested in an option that is less research-oriented, or you are employed full-time and want to study biology at the master's level on a part-time basis, check out our Master of Arts in Biology option.

Accreditation Information: Oakland University is accredited as a doctoral degree-granting institution by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
