The Department of Counselor Education is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) in the areas of Community Counseling and School Counseling, the two options that are available in the Master of Arts program. The Educational Specialist in Marriage and Family Therapy program is designed for master's-level professional counselors who wish to pursue advanced study in marriage and family therapy. The certificate program in substance abuse and addiction counseling is designed to meet the professional development needs of master's-level human services professionals and current practitioners who seek to further their knowledge and skills in this area.
