The Biochemistry Doctoral Program is one of six interdisciplinary programs administered through the Institute for Biomedical Sciences of The George Washington University+s Columbian School of Arts and Sciences and School of Medicine and Health Sciences.- Students accepted into the Institute+s graduate program select a field of study after completion of a core curriculum common to all programs.- The goal of the doctoral program in biochemistry is to train and develop independent, first-rate scientists who will be competitive for careers in research and education in areas where the principles and methods of biochemistry and molecular biology are applied to the study of biomedical problems.-
