The mission of graduate study is to provide the opportunity for the attainment of advanced theoretical knowledge and its application in a selected area of nursing practice. Molloy College offers you seven distinct tracks in our Master of Science Degree Program in Nursing. You may choose from Nurse Practitioner tracks in Pediatrics, Adult, Family or Psychiatry, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Adult Health, Nursing Education or Nursing Administration. A Master of Science degree in Nursing builds on a foundation of Baccalaureate Nursing Education and brings in Nursing Theory, research and knowledge from other disciplines. A Master’s education prepares you to manage care in complex situations and meet intensified health care demands. The purpose of Molloy College’s Master’s Program is to prepare nurses as leaders in advanced clinical practice and role functions in order to humanistically meet the current and emerging needs of the health care system. The program is designed to foster personal and professional growth and translate that advanced knowledge into practice. It also provides a foundation for doctoral study. The Molloy College Graduate Nursing Program combines academic, clinical and research activities which enable you to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to practice at a high level of expertise – a distinguishing feature for graduate education.
