The core curriculum follows a mental health focus,other areas of emphasis are offered, including, but not limited to: medical, school, and community art therapy. The program prepares graduates to pursue licensure in 47 states (typically need 1 additional course). The two-year program of full-time study is approved by the American Art Therapy Association and has trained professionals since 1973. An average of 15 students are in each of the 2 classes. Early application deadline is February 1 for fall entry, however, applications are accepted until all student positions are filled.     Accreditation Information: Approved by the American Art Therapy Association.  # Of Credits Required: 63  Time To Degree: 2 years    Previous Degrees Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.  Pre-Requisite Courses Prerequisites must include a minimum of 18 semester credits of studio art and 12 semester credits of psychology, which must include developmental psychology and abnormal psychology (and personality theory is highly encouraged.
