Our doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program prepares students to be experts on drug therapy and work directly with patients. Since our founding in 1866, the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has played a major role in transforming pharmacy from a professional practice to a major field of clinical research. Our faculty has established a clinical research infrastructure dedicated to research in pharmacotherapy for infectious diseases, transplantation, oncology, neurology, geriatrics, cardiovascular, medical imaging, critical care, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug-drug interactions, and medication adherence.
