M.A. - Foreign Language and Literature

The Departments of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, of French, Italian and Comparative Literature, and of Spanish and Portuguese - under the guidance of a Coordinating Committee - cooperate in offering an interdepartmental, interdisciplinary master's program designed for the student who wishes to focus on language and literature as areas of study broader than national or linguistic borders and to study language and literature on a cross-cultural basis. Specialized areas of focus are offered in Classics, Comparative Literature, French, German, Greek, Hebrew Studies, Italian, Latin, Linguistics, Slavic Languages, and Spanish.
