The program in psychobiology provides training at the crossroads of neuroscience and cognition, with a particular focus on memory. Members of the psychobiology area study how humans and animals learn and remember at the levels of cellular and molecular events, neural circuits and networks, and information-processing systems. Other significant areas of active research include molecular neurobiology, functional neuroimaging, higher cortical functions, cognitive psychophysiology and hemispheric specialization.
