The one-year graduate program in television-radio-film at Newhouse stresses three general areas of study -- Writing, where students learn to tell stories with words on a page, as well as with light, camera, sound, 3-D graphics, and interactive software; Business and Management, where students learn the business, managerial, and creative processes that professionals use to run successful enterprises and to produce and distribute television programs, film, CDs, and interactive media products; and Technology, where students learn to run cameras, light scenes, edit films, create soundtracks, produce television shows and multi-media programs, and design web sites and special effects. Graduates work as writers, directors, editors, producers, media executives, multi-media designers, managers, entertainment lawyers, and agents.
