Founded in 1989, the Northwestern Universtiy Interdepartmental Neuroscience (NUIN) program is a truly multi-campus PhD program with faculty and students on the Evanston campus, and at the Feinberg School of Medicine and ChildrenÆs Memorial Research Center, both in Chicago. NUINÆs 160 faculty come from more than 20 departments and centers, and participate in a diverse range of research areas including: behavior & cognition; sleep & circadian rhythms; molecular, cellular, & developmental neurobiology; motor & sensory systems; learning & memory; aging and neurodegenerative diseases; neuroendocrinology; and neuroimmunology. At present there are about 130 PhD students in NUIN.
