TThe graduate program in chemistry is designed for working professionals. The program is designed to be completed on a part-time basis. The classes meet at night or online such that students do not require time off from work to complete the coursework. Course work in the curriculum encompasses all areas of chemistry: inorganic, organic biochemistry, and chemistry education. The core curriculum consists of three required courses: Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry and either Organic Chemistry I or Organic Chemistry II. In addition to these the student may tailor their program to meet their specific needs. Elective courses are taught from a broad range of topics including: forensics, medicinal chemistry, environmental chemistry and the biochemistry of cancer. In addition, new special topics courses maintain the program on the forefront of chemical research.
