Graduates of Siena Heights University's community counseling program have positions with public and private, profit and nonprofit community mental health agencies, hospices, hospitals, specialized clinics, substance abuse centers, churches and parishes, state and local governments, rehabilitation services, detention facilities, nursing homes, employee assistance programs, and community and four-year colleges. Some graduates also enter private practice. School counselors generally are employed by local or intermediate school districts to provide direct services to students in kindergarten through grade 12 and consultative services to parents, teachers, administrators, and other educators.
