The goal of the M.F.A. program in Film is to train students in the skills needed to become screenwriters, directors, producers, and film historians and critics. The program offers a graduated course of study that integrates theory and practice, instructing the student in the creative process, technical skills, and film history, theory, and criticism. The program is designed to assist the student in finding his or her personal vision, and to help him or her express that vision fully and clearly.
