Students are first admitted to IBS and choose a dissertation mentor and doctoral program at the conclusion of the IBS year. The IBS curriculum provides a foundation curriculum in molecular and cellular biology, development of interdisciplinary approaches essential to innovative research, and flexibility in choosing a research emphasis among over 130 faculty in six departments.
