This is a full-time, interdisciplinary program committed to developing scholars capable of studying the dynamic and changing conditions of employment and work. The program is designed to qualify students for future employment as college or university faculty or in scholarly research positions in the private and public sectors. Students study the foundational theories in the field of industrial relations and human resource management, design and conduct rigorous research, analyze and interpret their findings, and disseminate their findings through presentations at conferences and through scholarly publications. Opportunities to gain teaching experience are available to students as they approach completion of the program.
