The Construction Engineering and Management program in the Charles E. Via, Jr., Department of Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech is designed for students who wish to pursue professional and academic careers in the construction industry. The program has three primary goals: first, to provide a forum to teach students to think creatively; second, to insure an understanding of current techniques for managing projects and for developing effective solutions to construction problems; and third, to provide a solid background for fundamental and applied research aimed at future technologies needed in the construction industry.
