Our students come from diverse backgrounds, with degrees in areas such as African-American and American Studies, Cultural Studies, English, History, Film/Media Studies, Journalism, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology, among others. In addition to an extensive list of courses, the School provides structured opportunities for graduate students to work with faculty on cutting-edge research. Annenberg Ph.D. candidates can be found studying the development of a media system in war-torn Iraq, studying the effectiveness of anti-smoking communications on society, or closely involved in any number of fascinating studies or research projects.
