Students in the graduate program will acquire a broad background in this interdisciplinary area throughcourses, seminars, and teaching experiences. Opportunities for specialized study and research reflectthe wide range of interests represented by the faculty of the program. These include molecular anddevelopmental genetics, experimental animal embryology, molecular biology and cytology of plant andmicrobial development, plant biotechnology, cell physiology, virology, and cell ultrastructure.
