Geodetic science comprises the related fields of geodesy, photogrammetry, land information management, geographic information science, and cartography. Geodetic science is based on mathematics and physics, and to a lesser extent geography, geology, engineering, and astronomy. Students may specialize in geometric, satellite, or gravimetric geodesy; adjustment computation; spatial data analysis; photogrammetry; computer-assisted cartography; digital mapping; land information management; or geographic information science.
