This program trains both academic researchers and policy-making personnel of international agencies concerned with international, national, and regional processes of social change. Its goal is to give students knowledge of the various theoretical perspectives on development and comparative sociology coupled withhands-on experience in data collection and analysis. Cross-national, comparative, and world-system research methods are emphasized.
